We had the idea to hold a lab writing retreat, where we spent the day in a nice conference room on campus, got breakfast and lunch delivered, and focused on making progress in all of our respective writing projects. Some of the projects were collaborative, and everyone provided informal feedback and tips throughout the day. We started the day by writing down all of our goals, and we revisited them at lunch time and at the end of the day. We will start holding these writing retreats in between semesters!
